Week 2 - Dolphins at NY Jets

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2005

Well it was better than the last time the dolphins played in New York. But nonetheless it was still a loss. If they would have played the whole game offensively like they did the first series, it would have been a blowout. I haven’t seen the dolphins move the ball like that since Marino, Gus looked like a genius. But then the rest of the game had to be played and the Gus – Marino comparison...errrr...out the window. I really do think the Dolphins should have used the run more. Last week against the Jets, the chiefs had 3 rushing TD’s from 2 different backs and almost 200 yards on the ground. How many carries did Ronnie Brown have? Not too many. Then again when you average less than 3 yards per carry, there aint’ much point I suppose. Stop the stupid penalties, get Ricky off of 60 minutes and onto a football field and we’re doin allright. Lets all let out a collective sigh, the perfect season is gone. It always hurts a little bit more when it’s against the Jerks. To those lucky dawgs heading south, Keep Crankin it up!!!!

FINAL SCORE:  JETS 17   DOLPHINS 7

CHEERS TO:    A late surge that kept the hope alive
JEERS TO:        88 yards in penalties and 4 for 14 on third down...and Olindo come on man! A kicker with 1 leg could hit from 21 yards.
