THE LEAD ITEM

TWO WORDS: Many. Turnovers.

I was going to lead off by saying that turnovers make you lose football games. Then I watched the Bears and Cardinals game. The Bears had 6 turnovers including 4 INT’s and still managed to win the game. That being said, the Dolphin D can’t score like the Monsters of the Midway. But the Dolphin Offense can turn it over with the best of them. Until they stop turning the ball over, they will lose. Then again, they are now just playing out the string anyways but hopefully we get to see some good games with less turnovers and a few victories.

THE GAME

Why is it that the 06 Dolphins only come alive after they’ve dug themselves into a huge hole? They were trailing against the Pats before they turned it up a notch and they were getting blown out by the Jets until Joey started completing passes. But what a way to lose after coming all the way back! I was totally heartbroken after this one. Olindo Mare’s kick personifies the Miami Dolphins season: Coming up short time after time.

So I suggest that next week and for every week after, Miami should spot the other team a 10 point lead from the opening kickoff. Maybe then the team will show in the first half and finally play a complete game of good football.

FINAL SCORE:  Jets 20  Dolphins 17
